Tracks look “blank” - iCloud issue?

Sorry if this has been covered before…

I recorded a song with about 10 tracks, saved it and loaded up a digital release to SoundCloud. Came back to my song a few days later and all but one or two tracks were blank - no audio graphic - and nothing is playing except for the one or two tracks that have the audio graphic. No “locate missing files” error message; no files appear to be missing. I did a search on my Mac for the file names and looks like they were saved to the cloud so I downloaded all of them. Took a while and eventually all the tracks reappeared. Is this an iCloud issue? How do I get my Studio One files to NOT save to iCloud? Any help appreciated…
