Toggled "Cell Playback" how to turn it off? No Manual/help?

This kind of inscrutable, maddening behavior is driving me up-the-wall.

Was recording, hands not on the keyboard or mouse, when playback stopped and I was in "Cell mode" with all tracks muted/inactive.
How to get back? Check the Help system. "Manual not installed". OK, check Studio One Installation. Nope. Nothing to install.
What, the-ever-loving, heck?

What is "cell playback"?
How did it get toggled on?
How do I turn it off?
Why can't I install the manual?
Why does S1 reset my loop region to the last recorded clip begin/end when I stop recording? How do I disable that?

TIA!

Are you referring to playback modes in the Launcher?
Sounds like you clicked on the "Global Play Focus" arrow button.

Post a screenshot of what's installed relative to documentation.

RE: Playback modes and the "Launcher" - I think I must've hit the "B" key by mistake.

TY for the "Loop Follows Selection" tip.

RE: The manual - as I stated: S1 thinks it's installed until I try to access it, then it says it isn't. I downloaded the .install file, dropped it on S1 and it said "This is already installed". Very strange.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling...
