Go to the new feature request section on the PreSonus website and vote on any related requests you see. This has been a request for quite a while. Good luck to you and happy holidays!

One thing I did find out though is Sysex programs like Snoize and Midi Ox can still be up and running at the same time as Studio One and they can still point to the same midi ports as Studio One is. So while you may not be able to drop a Sysex patch dump as part of a sequence, you can still send banks of sounds etc to hardware synths quite easily while Studio One is up and running. Usually in stop mode though to avoid confusion.

I had a solution to this that I developed out of sheer will. I picked up a Yamaha MDF and would send midi messages to it to trigger a programmed sysex messages to be sent to my TX81Z. I did this last year. *Last* *year*

It was a tremendous waste of time. It was more like, I can prove to myself that I could make it work. It was almost purely academic.

That's interesting. I tried Midi Ox and had some difficulty and went on to try other methods. Cakewalk and even Cakewalk Pro Audio 9 worked with a little tweaking of their timing parameters in their respective ttsseq.ini files to be slow enough for my ancient Korg M1. Yes, I have to use it with SO closed, but that presents a different problem, as SO7 almost never runs. A matter I may post about soon. Thanks for the reply.

...or you can use software like Gig Performer and send MIDI notes or CC data from Studio One to GP, convert them to SysEx data and sent it to a hardware device.
Fascinating software. Thanks.

Midi Ox always worked with me with Studio One open but that I must say was on Win 7. Snoize ( MAC) definitely works with Studio One open for me.
