Ari,

Thank you for posting the info here on the new forum - much appreciated!

Installed the new update - but the colors are no better than before:

Here is my v6 experience - when the mouse is clicked in the bottom half of an event:

The event remains color constant and the cursor is easily visible

And v7.01 - click mouse in bottom half - and the concert lights come on - telling you the show is over and it's time go home :))

Cursor visibility is ever so slightly better than 7.0.0 - but I am sorry - not understanding the point of this - nor any ability to determine where this color is coming from and how to change it...

Nice!

🥳
All the Best Ari...

WOW. So happy about these fixings!

  • [Impact] Separated channels not visible for Sidechain
  • "Page Up/Down Skip" not working in Macros
  • Kontakt 8 does not load sounds from song saved with Kontakt 7 or earlier
  • Connection with Studio One Remote slow with large songs

Also the selection of the velocity in the MIDI editor is fixed.

THANK YOU!

Hi there, thank you very much for the new forum. Just checked out the new version 7.01. Unfortunately the multiintrument volume bug in the show page seems to be still in there, so I'll have to stay at 6.6.2
And that´s the bug since 6.6.3:
The volume faders within a multi instrument always jump on 0db if I jump into the next song in the show. It seems that everything is working correctly, when I use Presonus VST instruments (MaiTai etc). If I try to use a multi instrument with an Omnisphere and Dune 3 the volume fader of this both parts always jump back on 0 db.

They did try to improve the contrast for the grid showing through in transparent mode, but a real solution would have to make the event smarter to invert certain things like it does with the waveform or pick another way to show event selection.

I get that. And it looks fine.

But this "lights on" thing when clicking in the bottom half of a track is brutal.

Usually - Presonus is so logical, so clear and so precise when it comes to adding/changing something - there is always a good reason - but this makes no sense whatsoever.

Why turn the brightness to 200 in the first place? Does this help workflow in some way? Was there a real epic fail on how a selected event looked in v6.6.4?

I try to be understanding and always happy to be wrong - but I cannot understand how anyone thought this was a good idea.

Regarding:
  • Improved visibility of grid lines behind translucent events
There seems to be a very slight improvement, although really hard to see compared to 6.6.4:
Same settings in the appearance preferences (Contrast set to 100%) Events set to same color
6.6.4 7.0.1

This is not what I would call an improvement.

v6.6.4 in your example - is easily better - to these eyes anyway.

Regarding:
  • "Transform To Rendered Audio" delivers unexpected results on mono tracks:
"Transform To Rendered Audio" applied to a Mono-Track still results in a Stereo-File on a Stereo Track.
Does not happen in 6.6.4
Same with "bounce to new track"

We still have this bug with crossfades:
When the crossfade-handles are detached from each other via holding the option-modifier, in v7 one of the handles becomes invisible.

Question for anyone:

What's the point of Pitch Visbility 'Used'?

I was excited about this feature because I thought it would be great for editing drums (e.g. only showing me pitches I had used) but it doesn't seem to do very much....?

Seems there are other parts visible in the editor that include these other pitches.

Ahhh, yes, thank you. I made the mistake of thinking it worked by event, not the entire track.

I didn't see this in the release notes (I might have missed it) but there has been a change to selecting notes by velocity, which I'm happy to see.
