Stuck in audio creation mode!

[P-Tools-to-S1]

Help! Studio one is doing the thing where it gets “stuck” in creation mode even after strip silence
and audio bend is turned off.
Makes it so anytime I click in a blank space in a track, it creates an empty “linked” audio event 1 measure long.
It a known bug that pops up in S1 sometimes, but I’ve tried all solutions I could and none worked.
Wondering if anyone here has had this happen and fixed it. Here’s the breakdown:

Issue popped up after I used strip silence to clean up some tracks.
Issue continues even when not having any time based tools on.
Tried restarting S1 several times

I’m on the last intel version of a Mac Pro, with Sequoia 15.3.1 (i9), using studio one Artist 5.5.2.

Please post a screenshot or a link to a video that shows the issue.

Does Ctrl Z or Undo not work when the issue happens?
