Special techniques

To capture the zeitgeist in the overall sound, the Mix-FX version of the Classic Tube Console REDD was used. There is slight crosstalk between the channels. In addition to the tube console sound as a whole, individual channels have different fingerprints and saturation levels.

I guess every synth fan knows the iconic theme from Stranger Things. To showcase several individual sounds from my soundset "Analog Model Machine" for the Mai Tai (S1 analog modeled polyphonic synthesizer), this track was ideal. The then-new mix engine FX added the analog touch that a sound from that era needed. There are no additional instruments or FX in this production. This is the soundset in it's pure version.

Nice, Ari. Wonderful analog synth vibe that gives Mai Tai some nice oomph on the realism scale (which is always good). I also like that you chose REDD for the mix channel authenticity. Good feel and saturation between channels.

The mood has punchy and evolving oscillator overtones and pleasant filterings for the "Stranger Things" recreation.

Ari, this sound set smokes a competing sound set from a company, based around stranger things. Excellent work on both the track and the sound set.
