Sound set paths, can't remove

Number6

In Pro Studio 8.0.2, menu: Studio Pro ->Locations Soundsets.

I have one question and one issue.

QUESTION
What's the difference between the "Studio Pro" and "All Applications" path?

PROBLEM
I was able to remove folder location by clicking on the button and pressing remove, but I can't remove the other, I simply cannot select the folder path and turn it blue.

The only path I need to keep is:
D:\DAW\Presonus\Studio One\Sound Sets

The rest can go.
Anybody got the same?
(Windows 11)

Thanks...

There are several sound set paths that cannot be removed - regardless of how much you click that button. I have these three:

And none can even be selected - never mind removed. Been like this for years.

I just ignore this area now.

Thanks for feedback.

It's a bug, I created a ticket. There we go.

Or it actually may be a feature. I can see why too....

I see so not being able to remove a user defined file path on the D drive could be a feature, gotcha.

Regardless, that's up to the Devs not us to decide.

Yeah - I get it. Could be there is something wrong with every path that drops in here.

Now - I was able to clear some bogus paths that I had in this dialog a couple years back by editing the main .Settings file in an XML editor - it worked but it was not optimal in any way.

Today - as long as all my soundsets are present and accounted for (and now that I only ever use a single location) - I don't spend any time worrying about this dialog box.

Would be nice for this button to work tho - if that is it's actual purpose. (to be able to remove ANY path in here)

If I find bugs I simply report them like a robot. I've worked for countless software houses where they didn't fix bugs that were deemed trivial. Then what happens is that there are hundreds or even thousands of trivial bugs and users end up tearing their hair out.

You wait till I get to the lyrics functionality. Actually I think I may swerve it, it really needs a rewrite/redesign with it's own special vertical timeline/playback indicator, but that's another day.

Was something done about it?

I have four paths besides the two defaults that cannot be removed, one of them still has PreSonus in it.

I once had PreSonus Studio One 5 installed to evaluate it, I had lots of legacy folders to clean up already.

Nope.
I doubt it will ever be fixed.

This is the way to deal with it.

I do try to leave my intact and move on though.
