I like that it goes through variations, it held my attention because I liked what I heard and wondered what would happen next. Also the syncopated percussion stuff is cool. There's the right amount of "finaliziing" so that the final mix, which has a good balance, pops but without sounding overly compressed (which at least to my ears happens often with Zouk, and even more with Soca). My only suggestion is to put some thought into an ending that leaves the listener with a sense of conclusion.

Thanks for the feedback.
On this project, I checked all the boxes of what not to do:
3 differents drum kits, several basses.
Started on Cakewalk Bandlab imported into Studio One.
Reconfigured the plugins in SO (some were 32-bit in Cakewalk).
The mixing was a pain.
I also tried adding acoustic instruments like the steelpan, but it didn't work with the mix.
The ending may indeed be surprising, but I didn't want to extend the duration too much with an outro.
Maybe next time, just make the music you want without worrying about the duration format.

I enjoyed the song and the video. Raccoons are amongst my favorite animals so your use of that was cool.
