Sidechain dynamic EQ multiple sources

Hi

I'm wandering whether a track that has the Pro EQ set to receive a sidechain input can have multiple sidechain sources affecting it
I have a stereo drum overhead track that I want to dynamically reduce certain high frequencies fed from a separate hi hat track. I also want to dynamically reduce some of the low frequencies triggered from the separate kick track. Is it possible to have just one instance of the Pro EQ insert on the overhead track but have multiple sidechain sources working dynamically eqing the track without the need to insert multiple instances of Pro EQ?

What you want can certainly be done but not within one instance of Pro EQ. You can absolutely select multiple sources for your side chain, but they will all trigger every dynamic band. there are dedicated plugins to do exactly what you need, the best known one is Trackspacer. I really recommend getting that because it will truly enhance the workflow when it comes to this. But if that's not an option right now you can simply insert multiple instances of pro EQ, one for each frequency band. And then set the side chain for each accordingly

Hi Dave thanks for that. I think the solution is not to run multiple EQs in series but use the Splitter tool adding several instances of pro EQ to a number of splits creating sidechains on each instance. I'll try that and see if it works

There's a problem with that way of doing things. If you have for example 5 splits and put a pro eq on each, whenever one of them gets a side chain signal and ducks that part of the spectrum, the other 4 are still letting that frequency range through, minimizing the effect. If they are in series then every instance does its job and the effect is just passed down through the chain.

Hi Dave, I experimented with the Pro EQ. I can report that it can receive multiple side chain inputs without the need for several instances.

And when the kick hits it only affects the low frequencies and the hihat only affects the higher frequencies?
