S1v7.2 Autoscroll now properly works the way it should. TY!

I'd post one-hundred "thank you's" to Studio One developers for this. I pleasantly realized working on one of my new songs that while we all appreciate the newly added continuous center, and continuous left scrolling choices, along with those two additions of viewing (v7.2), along with the existing turn over viewing, that I can proudly announce AUTOSCROLL NOW PROPERLY WORKS THE WAY IT SHOULD. Now, when autoscroll is off, and stop is selected, then play is selected, oh my, someone catch my fall...... "Autoscroll does not re engage!" This is a serious improvement, as anyone who performs any numerous edits, listens to the edit, and commonly continues to select play, and edit further, that autoscroll stays off until one selects the autoscroll icon, or presses the F key (default key command). We can all say good-bye to that reverse F indented on our finger tips!
Also the fact that auto re engaging autoscroll would potentially make the screen jump (loop size depending), in the middle of that next edit. "Whoops, grrrh".

Humbly, thank you so much guys, for hearing our call to improve Studio One in those high mileage edit cases. This will benefit all in most any editing situations where the old autoscroll was quite too auto for its own good. Keep up the excellent work, bettering this incredible DAW.

Agree. The long tentacles of pro tools are finally releasing their grip. Tonight was my first fully edited session in studio one because of this change. No more bouncing between S1 and PT simply to edit. I’m stoked.

Well it's only Rock and Roll.

👍 Ian. The differences in workflow now are outstanding. Between the editor flow with its own continuous center and scaling speed (using W & E keys) while the main arrangement having its own continuous center positioning (also adjusting W & E) with its own scaling speed work beautifully while scrolling/ or editing. Either can be turned on or off with autoscroll [F], which was always the case, only now with continuous motion, this is really where Studio One should have been years ago. But One need only look forward to improvements.

Finally, pressing play doesn't auto activate autoscroll and pull the rug out from our editing workflow.

Also, the engagement when selecting Continuous scrolling modes are also very smooth. Whoever is at the helm of improvements now is getting the essentials right. There's a scent of real professionalism in the air, and it's very welcome.

Yes! When it locks

Yup. When the center locked on for the first time, I actually let out an audible gasp. It was wonderful.

I hope the developers take note. This thread says it all, what is important, WORKFLOW, WORKFLOW, WORKFLOW. Take heed. You won't get much enthusiasm for another virtual instrument but efficiency workflow improvements. I'll take that every time

It wasn't a deal breaker but it was a constant source of annoyance and continual pressing of the F button when Autoscroll switched off because you were supposedly editing (even when you were not). I could never understand why the old default was a "feature" that some wanted. Anyway, now this works great and gives options - really pleased with this improvement.

Kudos to the PreSonus Dev Team for the "Continuous Centered", "Continuous Left" features and improvement to AutoScroll!!!
