Hat SO irgendwelche Vorteile unter dem AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D oder ist die Leistung unter dem 9950X besser?

Es ist ein Thema, was so vielschichtig ist, wie die User und Anwendungsfälle auch sind. Kurzum kann man aber sagen, dass es um L3-Cache geht, der einfach mal verdoppelt ist. Und gerade bei Audioanwendungen kann er für viele Einsatzzwecke entscheidend sein. Aber selbst, wenn es hier um Verdoppelung geht und auch wenn es wichtig ist, muss jeder User selbst an seiner Arbeitsweise wissen oder merken, ob ihm das selbst tatsächlich was bringt, oder ob es unmerkbar egal ist.

Ich wollte eigentlich nicht individuell antworten, sondern faktisch sagen: JA X3D ist besser. Punkt.

OK, erstmal vielen Dank überhaupt für die Antwort.
Ich hoffe, Du verzeihst dennoch eine abschließende Frage:

Angenommen Du würdest in einem Jahr oder so auf Studio One 7 umsteigen wollen und Dir einen neuen Rechner holen, würdest Du dann eher zum 9950X oder den 9950X3D greifen, wenn Dein Anwendungsfall folgendes vorsieht:

• Große Projekte mit 180 bis 220 Kanälen auf der Konsole mit vielen Automationen sollten einwandfrei möglich sein.
• Nutzung vieler Insert Plugins, die auch gerade wegen der Automationen nicht gebounced werden und man sich außerdem den zeitsparenden Zugriff zu jeder Zeit vorbehalten möchte.
• Die PlugIns sollten in Echtzeit bereits in HQ laufen (sofern nach Funktion möglich)
• Virtuelle Klangerzeugung, die gerne zu Audio transformiert werden darf
• Bearbeitung und Nutzung von Vocals auf recht einfachem Niveau (keine komplizierten Stacks, vielschichtige Dopplungen, Chöre usw.)
• Das Audiointerface soll voraussichtlich möglichst PCIe gebunden bei der guten alten MAYA44ex (oder besser) bleiben
• Niedrige Latenz wäre natürlich toll
• Als Controller wäre ein ATOM SQ vorgesehen
• Windows 11 OS
• Mit der Kiste soll auch kompromisslos gespielt werden dürfen

Ich habe im Augenblick:

• AMD Ryzen 9 5950X
• 32GB Ram
• 1TB Samsung 980Pro
• 500GB Samsung 860 Evo
• Windows 10

Der Umstieg von einem Ryzen 9 3800X auf den 5950X war letztendlich genau das, was ich mir erhofft hatte und hat bei der Arbeit mit Audio extrem viel Spaß gemacht und vielerlei Freiheiten erlaubt, die mich vorher eher frustriert und immer wieder eingeschränkt zurückgelassen haben.

I have had the 9950x since it was released (and the fiasco of iLoc and 9950x). I on a daily basis use photoshop/Resolve PRO/ S0. Gpu is the 4070 TI super, 64 Gig of DDR5 (5500 I think) and a very fast 4 TB SSD, 8 TB 7200 spinner, 2 TB external SSD, 40 TB's of Usb 3.0 spinners. So far I have been very pleased. Don't skip on cooling (8 5" fans, liquid cooling) and a 1300 watt power supply.
Rus 10 hours a day.

Hey Jeff thank you very much responding me. What exactly was the main reason to choose X-Variant instead of the X3D?
I`m not aware what was going on with ilok? I guess it did`nt work and now it does? 1300 Watt sounds a lot. I´m currently at 750(Gold 80+) while using an RX 7900X GRE.

X3D was not out and the intel CPU were having issues. iLoc and some processing code made a significant portion of all VST non-functional. 6 to 8 weeks to fix. I bought TOC 3.3 because most EW stuff would not run. However, the setup is very fast.

I can't really say because I've not used the X3D. But my test was how fast I could process various high bit rate 4K or 5.8K video in Resolve, which is different than what is needed to process several hundred tracks with individual VSTs. I use mostly EW stuff and TOC 3.3 which allows me to build sounds within the VST for Orchestral/scores. At the cost of these type of computers today, one hopes to a machine that works well into the future. I can seen upgrading to 128 ram but hope to get 5 to 7 years out of this one.

Can you explain what exactly EW and TOC is please? I can`t figure out what you`re doing.
Do you have any clue what exactly in SO or Audio will benefit from X3D?

EW = East West Hollywood Opus, Fantasy, Pianos, RA (world instruments), Toc 3.3 = The Orchestra Complete, also Arturia synths. No,I am not familiar with X3D as it was not out when I got the 9950X which is the core of my multi-focused system for Adobe/Resolve PRO/Studio One which use the other stuff mentioned. The 9950x with the 4070 TI super handles each program well, and each program has different specific needs for best performance. I need to look at the ability to service three powerful programs, all doing something different. At the time of purchase the 9950x seemed to be the best available one.

Ah, now i understand what EW and TOC stands for, OK. Yeah i think at the time of its release it definetly was. I was watching a Video or maybe read an article a few weeks ago (can`t find and remember it anymore) where the guy said the X3D in the 9000 Series really showed its potential for audio the first time but they just tested the 9800X3D as far as i can remember. And they said it was clear to them since the first X3D in the 5000 Series that it can improve working with Audio one day.

Problem for me ist that the 9950X is cheaper than the X3D and i am not this kind of technical advised that i could say i know what X3D will improve in SO and what it`ll make worse than the X. So making the right decision is`nt that easy.
