Recording MIDI to clip in launcher.

Is there any way to record midi from impact directly to looped clip in launcher?

I do select record on track and down on tool bar, loop starts to play, I can hear midi when I play, but it records only on timeline.

Pre record is turned off.

Are you trying to record new MIDI into an existing launcher clip? If so, I don’t think you can do it. I don’t see a record button in existing clips, only in empty slots.

Can only record new midi into a new clip - using an instrument on that track.

There is no overdub (yet) and certainly no way that I know of to record MIDI "from" Impact.

AND - Launcher or no launcher - wasn't aware of Impact being capable of "generating" MIDI at all.

It certainly needs MIDI input to it's track to be of any value - but it cannot generate MIDI on it's own.
