Solved Recording Automation In Piano Roll?

Hi, using presonus studio 7.2 macos...

How to record automation in piano roll?

I know when I record a melody with my expression pedal, the expression automation gets recorded with the midi i.e. can see the notes and automation in the piano roll. If I want to re-record the same melody again, just to refine the automation not the notes, how do I record just the expression automation? I know I can do so by recording the automation in the arranger view where the tracks are by adding an automation expression track ..but then now I have two expression automations depending on each other - one in the track and one in the piano roll I just want to record the automation in the piano roll *i don't want to draw it but record it with my pedal*

Is this possible?

Hi and welcome!

Sure, that's possible. Just delete the part automation (that's the automation in the piano roll editor) and start recording while having the editor open.
