Midi Over Network

I've been playing with small computers and I wanted to do certain things on the thunderbolt mac with no latency but the PC has all the software installed.

I found that the mac has network midi built in and I installed rtpMIDI on the pc and hooked them up and I can play/record midi either way over the network.

So I have the seaboard block on the mac and Roli software on the PC and it works fine with all the bends and MPE stuff.

I been wanting something like this for a long time, guess I have to come out of my hole on occasion.

Lot of possibilities if anyone interested.

Yes! I love it. Once I realized how easy it is to connect two computers over a network, it really opened up a world of options for me that make it so much easier for me to mix. I always imagined it being a frustrating experience, but it truly isn't and I really love the possibilities I have now that I can use a separate computer for instrument processing.
