MIDI Notes not being colored

Just got back to using S1 and I can't get the events to take on any color except the standard blue which is making it very hard to distinguish when editing over-laid tracks.
I can change the track color, but event colors don't change.
I also tried using the "color selected event" command, which very nicely lets you select the color, but does not change event color.
Is there some other setting buried somewhere??

Thanks for suggestions!

Sorry, I thought you were talking about notes, not events. :)

For events, right click on the event, then click on the vertical color bar at the top left of the menu, pick your color...

Welcome to the Forum!

The title of your post says "MIDI Events not being colored".

Just clarifying... are you referring to MIDI events or notes?

The "Set Color of Selected Events" command is for coloring audio or MIDI events (not MIDI notes).

Thanks Guys,
Actually, it turns out the first answer gave me direction and I set the note color to "Part".. it is now working as expected...
Thanks again!

... LOL, I'll try to use S1 it more and hopefully remember ...

Thanks for clarifying that it's related to coloring MIDI notes or parts (not events)!

However, was changing Note Color to "Pitch" or "Part" the fix for your question?

I changed the title to "MIDI Notes not being colored"
