MIDI drum track not over writing.

Here's my problem, I have studio one version 7 Windows 11, I have recorded a midi drum track and when I try to Auto punch in it is not replacing the original part of the track. When I try to record anything over the original track same result. It looks like it's recording but always the same result. I hope it's a setting I am not finding. Tried all the Google videos. Any thoughts....

Did you activate "Replace" in the record options panel?

Seems like the midi track will not arm for recording. You can still hear the original track playing .
