Recently I decided to start working more with amp sims and decided to do some recording through Studio One using Guitar Rig and Amplitube. I was having latency that i didn't like, so I watched videos and tried to make some useful changes to lower the latency. I of course knew that changing the buffer size lower would add less stability but would decrease latency. No setting I could find would lower me to the point where it was usable. The issue I am having now is that if I have my buffer below around 1,000, even Youtube or recorded music won't play and sounds garbled. I am pretty sure I used to keep it around 256 while recording. I cannot for the life of me figure out why anything less than 1,000 in the buffer throws EVERYTHING off, not just Studio One?
This is an I7 computer with lots of RAM, and I've never had issues before. I'm using Studio One 7.0.2 using a Fireface UCX running through USB. Any help would be appreciated!
