Is There a Splice-Style Sample Search VST??

I just started using Splice in Studio One, and I’m having tons of fun with it. But as someone with a terabyte of loops and samples, like many here, it made me wonder: Is there an AI-fueled AP that can ingest my owned loops and samples on my hard drives, and provide categorized recommendations? The standard tagging system isn’t so great.

I'm sure there is. The only one I'm aware of is XLN Audio XO - only for drum sounds. I never tried it but I always found it interesting.

I'm sure some of the plug-in junkies here have more tips...

Check out Waves CR8 Creative Sampler & COSMOS Sample Finder...

FYI: The COSMOS Sample Finder is included when you purchase the CR8 Creative Sampler.

I’ll probably get it - the price is right - but do you happen to know if Cosmos will index Presonus loops? One of my frustrations with ADSR Sample Finder is it can’t pierce Presonus’s proprietary soundset containers and music loops.

Ah, so it’s kinda like the ADSR situation: We’re always going to be dealing with two or more loop-sampling indexers, one for non-Presonus loops & samples, another for Presonus loops and samples.

That’s one of my complaints with Studio One (which I love, in no small part because of the videos that Lukas and others do): Its system for finding loops and samples isn’t so great, and lives inside its own walled garden.

Now that they’ve integrated Splice, I wish they’d see the value in improving and opening up their own sample indexing and management processes.

Not directly but you can drag them into a song and use the "Export Selection" method to add them in COSMOS.
