How to "Goto Loop Start" using the ATOM SQ?

Halo Serene

New member
First of all, I would have expected this to be built-in to Atom SQ - but hey...

Anyway, how does one Goto Loop STart using Atom SQ? Yes, the Loop is active. The key binding in Studio One for Goto Loop Start is set to the default NumKey1 - thi works perfectly when using keyboard to control Staudio One.

Using Shift + Left does not goto loop start.
Pressing Stop 3x does not goto loop start

Anyone got any ideas, please?

Studio One has more commands than available ATOM SQ buttons.
However, it's easy to assign the specific commands you want to any of the 48 "User" buttons.

Follow the steps in section 3.2.4 User Mode of the ATOM SQ manual for assigning a command to one of the User buttons.
The User section has 8 pages (each with 6 buttons) for assigning commands.
The first 4 pages have pre-defined command assignments but they can be assigned with commands you prefer.
The last 4 pages are all available for assigning commands that you want to add to them.

Here's an example where I assigned the "Goto Loop Start" command to one of the User buttons...

Hi Trucky, thanks for that. Yh I can set that up fine. (y)

However, it means where I used to just hit NumPad1 on keyboard, I would now have to switch into the User menu, possibly have to scroll to get the correct page, and then hit User1 button to do the same thing.

I note that the manual lists buttons A-H as being user assignable, so I was thinking if I could set button A to do the loop start (or probably Shift button A), that would be better, but I can't see how to assign commands to those buttons - apparently I'm being blind or stupid ;)

When working in a Looped section, I use the Play Start Marker positioned at the beginning of the loop.

Hi Bob

Yh that's certainly another possibility. But I think I've resigned myself to assigning a User button, as Trucky suggested - I'm slowly getting used to having to switch menus to goto loop start.

IMO it's a shame the clicktrack (metronome?) button can't reassigned to goto loop start, since I never use a clicktrack - but it is what it is I guess

Thanks anyway, mate (y)
