Solved How to either expand or close all channels at once with one command/macro?

I am hoping to get help on the following......

For my workflow I would like to be able to go from this view…….

Console Closed.png

To this view….

Console Open.png

With one keyboard shortcut.

That is, to be able to expand and close all channels that are open or closed with one command or macro. And to be able to go back and forth with this.

I have a reasonable understanding of Macros but for the life of me I have not been able to figure this out.

It is of course possible I could be missing something simple and obvious as to how to do this. LOL

Any help with this would be appreciated.

Currently, it seems that it is not possible to do this only with macros. The "Open Channel" command only works for one channel at a time; it cannot open or close multiple channels.

After discussing this problem with @Trucky, I decided to create a new Studio One command. It's now part of the Navigation Essentials Studio One extension. Version 1.8 just went online.

The extension adds a "Open All Channels" command to Studio One that can be assigned to a shortcut. I've also added it to the toolbar menu. This command toggles (opens or closes) all channels. For use in macros, the command provides a State argument that can be set to 1 (open) or 0 (close).

Lukas, just a quick word of thanks for the Navigation Essentials stuff. I (finally) downloaded and installed this a day or two ago and it's just so amazingly useful. I have no idea how I've been getting along without it for all these years.

Thanks for making this available to the S1 community.

On my God Lukas!!!! Thank you so much!!!! (and Trucky also!!!)

This new command is amazing and it does exactly what I wanted.

I made two simple open and close macros and linked them to a "Hotkey Switch" on my Stream Deck and wow instant joy. Now I can open and close the channel views with one push of a button.

Once again thank you very much for this, and all the rest of the things you do for the community, it is greatly appreciated!!!

(I am also enjoying using your "Scoring Tools" and "Harmony Wizard" macro pages 😃)

Thanks @dean.winter and @Eaglepass - glad to hear it's helpful.

Cool! I just added them to my Stream Deck as well.
