As most of you know, MIDI is not truly 'MIDI' in Studio One. You can drag MIDI from a plugin to a track but not vice-versa; you have to export the MIDI to a file and then drag that file into the plugin. In theory that's just one extra step but in practice it's a bit convoluted.
1) Select the MIDI event
2) Select export selection
3) Type in a filename
4) Change the default file type from musicloop to MIDI (I hate that MIDI isn't the default)
5) open an explorer window to where you saved the file
6) drag the new MIDI file to the plugin
With regard to #5, it would be nice if the Files or Pool section in S1 would default to the current song folder. If anyone knows a way to do this, please let me know!
