Solved Guitar signal sounds distorted and muffled

Hey Guys,
I am new to Studio One, but have previous experience with Logic Pro. I'm running through a Scarlett 2i2 on Windows 11. I'm also using the Neural DSP Gojira plugin. The standalone plugin sounds fine, so I know that the interface, input settings, etc. are not the problem. My dry guitar signal coming into Studio One Pro sounds muffled and distorted. I have checked all of the input settings, gain settings, etc. It's well below 0 db. Any ideas? See attached video

Thanks!
Brad

Ouch. Sounds like something prior to the audio interface, given your Scarlet input meters are showing the distorted signal, so you likely have to work from the interface back. Swap guitar chords, even another guitar. If still nothing, open the rear cover of your guitar electronics. Inspect in just subtle jiggles to hear for issues.

The Neural DSP, and Studio One are only reflecting the results post from the audio interface.

Typically, anything intermittent will result more with silence, but it sounds like some serious impedance mismatch, and as you said, you know the interface well enough.

One more thing, your video doesn't show the bottom transport bar, but have a look at the CPU bar at bottom left. Is that CPU bar varying and showing high level? That would indicate a strain on the CPU, and could be part of somehow looping back, but my guess right now is your Scarlett input meters suggest it's before or in the interface.

Thanks for your response. Turns out I didn't have the Scarlett Control 2 app installed. Once that was installed and firmware was updated, everything worked perfectly!
