Solved General question about creating new chords

Hope you are well.

I have a question for you. First off let me pre-empt the answer and say that I am a GUITAR PLAYER! Yuk, enough said.....

Is there a way I can say create a new chord, but not a random one, a named one. In a piece, that maybe has 5 preceding chords, say I want to try an A-major., as the next chord, Sure I know this chord, and I could input it easy enough, but there are loads of others I don't. and I may want to try them.

Hope you can help and please don't laugh, not too loud anyway! Just put it down to thicko guitar players like me!!!

If I'm understanding you correctly, the easiest way to do this, even without a scripting add-on, is to use the Chord Track. Select the chord you want to add to your part, and then simply drag the chord from the chord track onto your part, as shown in this video:

You may want to merge the new part with your existing part (select both parts and press G).

There's a similar command in Harmony Wizard, but if you're just adding a single chord, I think this is the quickest way to do it.
