Solved FX Send creating a track by default

hey ho!

been looking into this but no luck yet

is there a setting to NOT add a track when you create a send?

90% of the time I just need the FX channel so that the timeline stays nice and tidy.

as a workaround been looking into the available shortcuts such as

- add send to selected track
- hide FX track

but couldn't find either.

Thanks!

what's confusing is that, for what I've understood about S1, there's a clear distinction between

- tracks (only appearing in the timeline)
- channels (only appearing in the console)

So that you keep things separated - and, albeit new and distinctive of S1, I really like this clever approach

But here it says I can add channels but in reality it also creates a track

Glad that you found it.

The "Automatically create automation tracks for channels" option is normally off by default.

yup I remembered I did turn that on for Volume and Pan automation 2 weeks ago, but only because I was yet to learn how to deal with automations in S1 which is my next and last step to fully be up & running.
which, let me add, is insane for a fresh new DAW I've only known for 3 weeks: just to underline how well Studio One is designed

Trucky, automation wise, whenever I stop moving a knob when recording an automation it goes back to its default state

is there a setting to avoid this behavior and leave, as an exmple, the reverb at 25% (where I last left it) instead of going back to 100% once I stop moving the knob itself?

Thank you! <3 It was Touch indeed
