Solved Found something new (to me)

I have a library of over 3000 MIDI drum grooves that I use in all my DAW's and was writing some new variations today... when I discovered that they default to drag & drop out as SO 'musicloop' format.
After diggin deep in the manual, I found that the ALT (Option on Mac) changes the format to *.mid while dragging to the browser.
Too cool for school!

Yes, you can press Shift or Ctrl (Cmd) or Alt (Option).

However, musicloop can be useful because it stores the instrument preset + the entire channelstrip settings including effects. And (even more useful IMO) it can be auditioned in the browser even before loading the musicloop into the song.

Yes, but I compose in multiple DAW's and need compatability. Also occasionally assign entirely different drum/perc samples to the notes (or transpose to different than GM layout) in the MIDI clip. They can be from <1 measure long to 8 bars.
