Export Mixdown Dialogue Box appears mostly off screen

Hello,

Great to find this forum!! Thanks in advance for any help.

I turned in a ticket on this but while awaiting a response I'm hoping to find a solution.

I went to export a mixdown, the dialogue box didn't appear. At least I didn't think so. I finally spotted it slid off the screen to the left. Just the width of the X / cancel button was showing. I cant grab it and slid it over. All I can do is close it. I've looked into resetting views. No luck.

I do work with 2 Monitors, everything appears normal there.

It's not song specific. I opened several to check. It's that way on every song I opened.

I've thought about unloading and re-loaded the software but that seems a bit extreme. Thoughts??

Looking forward to cruising this forum. I hope in some small way to contribute but I probably have more questions than answers. :)

Welcome to the Forum!

Have you tried this?

Thanks Trucky! Yes I did. I was hopeful but it didn't correct it.

Are your 2 monitors the same size?
What's their specs and orientation?

Thanks Trucky,

Monitors are the same size. Not sure of the specs. Orientation: If this is orientation, main screen (1) is on the left, extension monitor (2) on the right.

Thing is, the set up (as is) has worked perfectly for 4 years. And then out of the blue the other night. This occurred. Turned in a ticket Sunday night. Maybe I'll get a solution or some feedback in the next few days. I'll be sure to share if I do. Evidently this is not a common issue.

Post screenshots of your multiple display (resolution, orientation, etc.) settings in Windows so we can see what may be causing the issue.

By any chance, is your computer set up for three monitors? The rest of the dialog box may be displayed on the "phantom" monitor. Also, what happens if you reverse the positions of the two monitors as far as the computer is concerned, so that (1) becomes (2), and (2) becomes (1)?

PS Trucky - was not aware of "Reset Windows Positions," that's good to know!

Thanks Trucky and Craig,

I will post pics and try reversing positions. Unfortunately the next few days / evenings are consumed with work and a then weekend trip out of town. Not sure I'll find time to work on this until early next week.

Again, thanks so much for the responses.

+1, Or maybe an incorrect screen resolution/extended display region in Windows display setup if you only have 2 monitors set up. I use 3 monitors at 2 different resolutions, and "Reset Window Positions" in S1 has been infallible for me for any similar problem

I think you guys are probably drilling down on something I need to get straightened out. Come to think of it, a few times in the past month or so, there have been other issues.
A few times when I turn PC on, what I have set to Screen 1 appears in 2 position and visa versa. It does not match display settings. Oddly working with settings changes nothing. The only fixes I found was 1 rebooting, and 2 simply unplugging the monitors from the computer, plugging them back in and they re-set themselves correctly.

I've also noticed when I drag EZ Drummer to monitor 2, I cant see the entire Interface anymore. On 1, perfect on 2 I see about 80% of the Interface. That's new.

Are your graphics drivers up to date? Outdated graphics drivers can cause a host of problems, sometimes even including issues that affect audio. nVidia and Intel put out new drivers all the time. I always choose the most plain vanilla drivers if available, not the "high-performance" drivers intended to give the fastest possible frame rates when spreading mayhem and destruction in videogames.

"Spreading Mayhem" now that's funny! I'll look into graphics drivers. I've had a couple updates (not windows) that failed. I wonder

Your signature lacks information (computer, monitors, graphic card, resolution, etc.) relative to the issue you're reporting.

Resolved, mostly. Thank so much for pointing me in the right direction guys. I had a little time last night and played with the Monitor Display settings. First I just reversed them, opened up studio one>Export Mixdown> eureka! It did appear but on the opposite monitor I expected it to. I still need to work with the settings. I'm fair with Studio One software. I do computer drafting for a living and I rock those programs. But I pretty much stink at basic PC stuff. I need to de deep dive on how to set and lock those displays the way I want them.
Somewhere there's a guy looking at the ticket I turned in and thinking "you gotta be kidding me"

Will do, don't know it off the top of my head. Probably early next week. Hectic Schedule rest of the week.
