Solved Duplicate event creates unwanted gaps

hey all

any idea why whenever I duplicate an event I get this gap on pic #1?

the event had an extra midi note and I've dragged the event to the left so that's shorter but whenever I duplicate I suppose that gap is where the deleted midi note was.
Even if I make a cut in the event that gap still exists which is kinda confusing since If I resize (or cut) and event I'm expecting the new size to be the one that gets duplicated (resulting in pic #2)

You have "snap" enabled, so S1 snaps the copy to the grid. Toggle snap off (press N or click on the icon) and the duplicate will be placed next to the original.
