Does a shortcut for this Launcher function exist?

I'm trying to replicate my workflow in Maschine in S1 and everytime I want to start recording a clip in the launcher I'm forced to click on that tiny spot with the mouse

couldn't find a shortcut for it?

Also to stop recording a cell so that it keeps looping what I've just recorded.

I've watch all the Launcher tuts on YT but each and every one of them is based on transferring existing events into the launcher but, to my knowledge none of them shows the workflow of recording on the launcher itself.

Any hint?

Thanks Lukas!
the naming doesn't hint that but it's the correct function: once clip is selected it starts the recording

Do you know if there's the option to:

- stop the rercording and the session keeps playing? (don't know if you're familiar with the Maschine flow?)

As of now, if I press play after recording it stops whcih is a little confusing. I'm looking for a function to exit "rec mode" on a given clip once I'm done recording without stopping the entire session.

Also there's another mystery: if I press play again the newly recorded clip doesn't play and, if it's a 4 bar loop, the play icon on the top right blinks and waits for 4 bars before starting the new clip, even tho' I've set the clip to start after 1 bar.

On screen shot 1 I've started the entire scene but only the top clip is playing

Any hint is super appreciated

I couldn't reproduce this here. But I wasn't involved in the Launcher feature and I'm not sure if there are other Scene / Playlist settings that may interfer with the settings you show on the screenshot.

Is it possible for you to upload a video of the issue? It's hard to see what exactly happens just by seeing the two images.

there you go.

What I did was:
- Launch Cell to start recording
- I pressed "Play" on my Atom SQ to stop rec mode
- this way tho' the entire session stops
- I press play on the Atom SQ to play that new cell but it doesn't start right away (there's a sort of precount which is as long as the cell length is)
- until I go thru all the precount it won't play (not even pressing play on the Scene itself)
- Once that precount is done (once) then, once I hit play, the cell starts everytime as expected when you press Play

Hope it makes sense :)

My issue is that I don't know the logic behind the launcher operation since the manual doesn't say much about it nor there are tuts that explain how to record and compose in the launcher alone as of today (only re-arrange what you have in the timeline) at least to my knowledge.
The settings I've changed don't matter much since it happens the same even with the default settings.

I'm aware the Launcher is a new add-on so I'm confident that Presonus will address it more in depth soon (also I've found out it's missing a basic feature in this loop based workflow which is overdub on cells (only possible in the timeline as of now afaik)

But it's all good. I can work on the time line and use it as tuts show and eventually switch to a Maschine-like workflow (which I find super fun) later on as the Launcher grows in future updates.

Studio One is by far the smartest and most comprehensive DAW I've ever used so I'm not going anywhere lol
