Solved Colorize Channel Strips Not Working

I just noticed that the FX, Bus, Master and Listen Bus channel strips aren't colored even though I have that option selected in the options menu visibility section. Is this a bug?

Confirmed, I already mentioned this in the 7.0.1 discussion-thread. Also the insert-send section of the channel-strips are no longer coloured in 7.0.1

Ah, thanks for confirming Wolfger! I thought that maybe I had overlooked a setting somewhere. Hopefully they'll get that sorted out in the next maintenance release.

Note that if you select the FX or bus channel, the strip does take on the color. In the pic, I've selected Slap, Vocal and Sunset, but not Bettermaker. Still a bug, just clarifying.

Yes, I had noticed that, too. I should have pointed that out in my initial post. Kinda defeats the purpose though of being able to identify a channel at a glance! 🙂

As a follow up, I've submitted a request on the PreSonus website since I know they're not monitoring this forum.

My help ticket response indicated that my issue was forwarded to QA to be addressed in a future update

To be clear: this was not a bug, it was more or less a tryout of making selected channels stand out more. The response was clear: that is not desired, so it was reversed.

This was not intended. So it was a bug. Sorry for that. :D

Bug or not, I'm glad it's back to where we used to be! 🙂

Any chance the team can at least offer an option to return the standard v6 colors/waveforms (especially for selected events) in a future update?

These v7 changes to Events (while I understand were a feature request) has wreaked havoc on my workflow - especially older projects where the good ole "gun metal grey" standard track color - has now been drastically altered and causes all sorts of issue when editing these older projects.

Cheers

Unfortunately nobody can give you internal future plans and infos.
But if you followed the Studio One developement and basic strategy over years, you may have noticed that S1 tries to avoid too many options. To keep that DAW as clean as possible despite the 1000 new features.

Ari - I get that. But one thing Studio Dev should never do is change things that have been in place for years - in favor of "new" features.

I remain very disappointed (and that is VERY rare for me) over these color changes in v7 - which IMO still have not been justified one way or the other.

This is the reason why I did not upgrade to V7, the screenshots I saw hurt my eyes !
I regularly use the 'Bend Markers' function and I would be curious to have a screenshot with the function activated with v7. how the time grid is represented with the audio waveform! Can someone do that? thanks in advance.

Thanks a lot Wolfger for the screenshots. It seems good to me, we can clearly see the time grid.
I took a screenshot of version 6.6.4 the top image, and below one of your screenshots v7.0.2. It looks completely fine to me. I'm waiting for the release of 7.1 I hope they improve the visual of the selected audio files...
