Hi! An album I mixed last year has been released and thought I'd share it here since it was mixed in S1. Renown ambient project Bus Gas asked me to mix their long awaited album Mercy View and provided a few caveats. I challenged myself and used no computers to actively mix it, only to use Studio One as a tape machine. Luckily for me, Studio One has Pipeline, which is the absolute best hardware integration of any DAW I've used. They recorded the album in a tiny cottage on the Oregon coast and I used my patchbays and Pipeline to set up a pretty nifty little rig with 30 channels of outboard. it was mixed through a console and bounced to a freaking Alesis Masterlink. The end result, I think, is a huge, grating, aggressive, and gorgeous album that is perfect for whatever it is you do when you listen to ambient music. Enjoy!
