Basic orchestral chords in Harmony Wizard

Hi Lukas,

please excuse my ignorance - unfortunately I have no formal training in orchestral scoring. Based on your epic Online Orchestra, I recently had the idea of whether it would be possible to create the basic orchestral chords in the Harmony Wizard. I already had some acceptable results (using Spitfire BBC Discover), but I think a complete orchestral chord is not just a stacking of identical chord notes for strings and brass. I rather suspect that the brass is just that enrichment as shown above?
Is there a way to extend the Harmony Wizard a little? Or perhaps a short tutorial would suffice for ignorant people like me. 😄

Hi, and apologies for missing your post.

Yes, I have indeed considered implementing advanced arrangement and orchestration features. However, this is quite a specialized use case, and I’m not entirely sure if Harmony Wizard is the best fit for that.

The idea would involve integrating basic orchestration principles and creating presets based on those functionalities. For now, there are some excellent video tutorials available that do a great job of teaching these rules and techniques.

Hi Lukas,

Thank you very much! I‘ll give it a try during my X-Mas vacation. I have already started building a template, but I guess it still requires a lot of fine tuning.

I purchased Divisimate on NextMIDI's BF sale. Unfortunately, that sale is over and it's back up to 249 €. I bought it so I could use their free Universal Orchestral Template v2.0 in Studio One 7 Pro. Perfect timing for the Orchestration 101 videos you linked to, Lukas. There are 16 total videos in that series.

This video is for v1, but the basic idea remains the same.

Seems the video titles couldn't be fetched correctly when I made the post. I tried again and now the previews should be working.
