Audio Track Randomly Stretching Out (Playing Slow)

Has anyone experienced this? Everything sounds great in a track. You save, open up the next day. Some of your audio tracks now playing in slow motion... like they are stretched or something. It's happened with drums, now happening with vocals. I made no adjustments in tempo, in the events themselves, etc. If I grab and slightly move the event, I can see the proper audio (unstretched) but as soon as I put it back in place it's all slow and stretched again.

I don't even know how to fix this --- my project was just about to go to master.

For some reason (I never changed anything) but the group of audio files I"m referreing to had Tempo set at Timestretch. I already have Stretch audio files to tempo deselected in Song Setup. I had to go through each track change this setting.

You mean the tracks had Tempo set to Timestretch? Events don't have their own Tempo settings. So this might have changed somehow. Or - alternatively - the events somehow got tempo information added. Because events without tempo information don't get timestretched, even with the track set to Timestretch.

Perhaps you can compare both settings with an older version of the song to find out what exactly happened.

One of the first things I try when something strange like this happens is deleting the cache:
  1. close Studio One, or at least the song
  2. in the browser of your computer find the song's cache directory and delete it
  3. Reopen the song
