Solved Anyone have any tips on building a DYI MIDI "Consolidate" command in S1?

Now that the Launcher is part of the S1 realm - and I am spending as much time as I can learning it - I have also been schooling myself on how the "other" guys out there use their toolsets when working with their "clip" launchers.

One obvious one I run into is Bitwig and while watch some excellent videos by one of my fav YT content creators - I notice him using this awesome command in BW called Consolidate.

The usage is simple - this guy records some rando thought into a clip in BW - the clip could be 2 bars long or 18.5 bars - doesn't really matter. Once his little rando MIDI phrase is done, he clicks out of record in the BW Clip Launcher and lets the new clip start looping. He then goes into Edit on the clip and while listening (warts and all in some cases) "decides" where the steak and sizzle are in his phrase and then usually scopes out a promising 2 bar or 4 bar segment.

Once he like this part AND just this part of the overall MIDI event - he highlights the bars he wants to keep - right clicks on the clip and chooses Consolidate. BW then trims the crap on either side of the "keeper stuff" and this becomes the final MIDI "clip" that stays in that Launcher cell and ultimately the piece.

Now - I use this rando phrase method all the time - way before the Launcher was a thought. Load up some cool instrument or patch, noodle around and go "Need to keep that" and pound down some phrase before I forget it. The playing is never great considering I am simply trying to preserve the idea but once it's down - I do the same thing as above. Audition/pick thru the MIDI event, find the parts that feel right (or could be edited to feel right) and ditch the rest.
Now I know there is no actual Consolidate in S1 (yet) but I have to assume I could "macro" this into a shortcut easy enough.

SOLVED! Started here

And good ole Joe has the answer - Crop Selection macro! Assigned a new key command (SHIFT-C) and away we go. Works brilliantly.

Wow - Studio One continues to amaze me - even after 13 years.
