About the middle mouse button

I want to ask a question that has puzzled me and my friends for a long time. Why hasn’t studio one updated the middle-click drag function? I've noticed people making this request repeatedly in multiple forums, including the official presonus community. The earliest request I noticed, in 2016, had a whopping 215 upvotes. So why 9 years later we still don’t get this feature? Is this function particularly difficult to complete?

It's not just me who has this confusion. Many friends around me have also asked me about it many times, but I can't answer it. So can someone tell me why?

In fact, I don’t use English and my English is not very good. I hope everyone can understand my Google English. I would be very happy if I could get a reply！
 
I think it's due to Presonus' desire to preserve the commonality of the program across platforms. By default Apple doesn't do middle click, and seems to lean to a Cmd-click for that functionality.

Thanks for your answers. Frankly speaking, I have hardly used an Apple computer, so I am not very clear about how Apple users use it. But my friends and I have noticed that many professional software have such a workflow, especially many of them use Cubase and Ableton Live, which have similar functions, so we are confused about it.
 
Understoid. Well, this is an excellent forum for such answers about Studio One. Just address each question one at a time as you have, and many good people here can answer them.
