Greetings to all . I'm a former Cubase user sharing some tips.
This video illustrates how midi controlled noise gates or envelope shapers can streamline effects racks , automation or aid clip launching. The gate in this example has a 10 second release time & a trigger button. More details are in the video description.
The noise gate responds to user defined conditions.
An audio signal is audible & the gate fades or mutes the audio.
An audio signal is inactive & gate fades in the audio.
Workflow examples
The trigger button replaces a fader & the fade time can be many minutes.
Live clip launching performances. ( You can assign the trigger button to a foot pedal so it activates or deactivates recording when it passes a user defined threshold)
A useful tool for touch screen midi software users with limited screen estate.
Simplify automation.
